This seems to be a satirical post made in relation to the announcement by the All Island Bakery Owners Association which said that the price of bakery items will be increased in five rupees in consequent to the gas price increase. President's Media Division has not made such a statement. This post had been made by altering a headline published on the 14th of July on Lankadeepa newspaper, which said that the price of fuel was increased to strengthen the local economy. This post had been shared more than 1000 times and been reproduced many times as well, attracting strong anti-government and anti-president comments.
