This report is Probably false and is of Medium Priority. Here is why -
A post that was widely shared on social media had claimed that the Minister of Justice Ali Sabry has stated "This is not a pure Sinhala government. That's a falsehood perpetuated by Sinhala-Buddhist extremists. If not for the support of the majority of Muslims this government couldn't have won". An external fact checker had inquired about this post from the Minister and he had mentioned that he did not say something like that. The said fact checker has also been unable to find any mainstream media report which attributed such a statement to the Minister. However, the Minister had mentioned at a previous instance that the government was able to increase the support from Muslims, and therefore the opposition is conducting a disinformation campaign against him.
