There had been posts circulating on social media which implied that former MP, member of JVP Bimal Rathnayake has asked a child domestic aid at his residence to leave following the death of a child domestic aid lived at Rishad Bathiudeen's home. The photograph had been doctored to appear as a post published by Swarnawahini, a TV channel. An external fact checker, Fact Crescendo had inquired from Sawarnawahini whether they published such a post or a news, which they refused.
