During the fact inspection conducted to verify this, it was revealed that the image was of D.S. Senanayake holding young Rukman Senanayake.An article was published on the Silumina website on 21st October 2018 with the above photo, titled “Meeting D.S. after 68 years at the Bothale.The photograph in the feature article regarding the history of the Senanayake family reads, “D.S is looking after his kids. Rukman is in his hands. Devinda is in the tractor. Surrounded by village children. ”Therefore, in the above photograph Mr. D.S Senanayake is not holding young Ranil Wickremesinghe, but young Rukman Senanayake.
