and is of
Medium Priority.
Here is why -
The University of Kelaniya had issued a notice to students, asking them to go and get the Moderna vaccine at the Army Hospital in Narahenpita, on 25th and 26th of September, from 8am to 4pm. Said notice is attached under evidence. However, upon arrival, they had been said that the Moderna vaccine is not administered at the Army Hospital, resulting in a tense situation: https://ceylontribune.lk/2021/09/26/tense-situation-near-army-hospital-requesting-moderna-vaccine-video/. The University of Kelaniya had also emailed the students a cancellation notice around 10.30pm on Friday (24th), which had not been circulated as widely as the first notice was. Media had reported on the incident with misleading captions, which may have given rise to the rumour that the university students are protesting asking for the Moderna vaccine.
