and is of
Low Priority.
Here is why -
On August 15, the Sri Lankan government announced that all weddings would be banned from August 17 onwards due to the rapid spread of the Covid 19 virus. Following this announcement, posts appeared on various social media suggesting the ban was not imposed immediately as a VIP wedding was to take place on the day prior to the ban. Some posts claimed a son of the State Minister of Finance, Capital Markets and State Enterprise Reforms was to get married on August 16. However this claim to be false, the State Minister has only two sons and that both are currently married. Therefore no sufficient evidence support the claim.
