A video which appeared to be recorded by the husband of a woman who was having an extra marital affair with the SLPP Gampaha district MP Sahan Pradeep was circulating on social media. In the video, the man who's recording calls out the woman by the name "Anjana". Later, several posts which had used NPP activist Oshani Umanga Hapuarachchi's image appeared, claiming that she is the woman called Oshani Anjana, mentioned in the viral video. Oshani Umanga Hapuarachchi had confirmed with an external fact checker that her name does not have Anjana in that. OIC of the Kadawatha police station has also confirmed that NPP activist Oshani Umanga Hapuarachchi is not related to the incident.
