20 Sri Lankans in Afghanistan have refused to come back to Sri Lanka

Official statement of the Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry issued on 21st August 2021 regarding the situation in Afghanistan reported that the total number of Sri Lankans in Afghanistan were 86 and by then 46 had been evacuated. As of 21st August, 20 more Sri Lankans were expecting to return from Afghanistan and the Foreign Ministry was making arrangements for their evacuation. Twenty other Sri Lankans had expressed their willingness to stay back in Afghanistan.
